Assistant force test for electrically power assisted bicycles
1. Application range: the test is prepared for performing the assistant force test by
using the test machine to test the electrically power assisted bicycle.
2. Definition of assistant force: the assistant force means driving the assistant device
to assist the output; the assistant force ratio means the ratio of the revolution
input of the crank shaft to the assistant output provided by driving the assistant
device.
3. Test machine: the test machine is to test the output of the electrically power
assisted bicycle according to the driving torque transmitted to the revolution
shaft of the roller and the revolution number of the roller when the driving wheel
of the electrically power assisted bicycle is disposed on the roller to transmit the
revolution of the driving wheel to the roller (the test machine is as shown in Fig.
L1).
4. Test conditions
a) The temperature of the test environment is 23±5℃.
b) Please adjust the air pressure of the tire to the regulated value before the test.
c) The battery of the electrically power assisted bicycle provided for test is fully
charged by the attached charger of the electrically power assisted bicycle; the
surrounding temperature when the battery is being charged is set as 23±5℃.
d) Please properly apply pressure to the tire, and put the load of 50kg on the
saddle; the mass is adjusted by the flywheel disposed on the roller of the test
machine.
E) If the bicycle has the speed-changing device, the speed-changing device should
be set as the speed-changing position with the maximal assistant force range.
f) Please respectively make the settings according to the target values of the set
the driving speed and the wheel driving force of the setting condition 1 and
the setting condition 2 to test the load.
5. Test method and calculation equations
5.1) Major test items and units
