C.6.1 General
C.6.1.1 Measuring equipment
A average-value detector is used to measure the narrow-band electromagnetic
radiation. NOTE The measuring equipment is described in EN 55012.

C.7 Methods of testing the ESA immunity to electromagnetic radiation
C.7.1 General
These tests are designed to demonstrate the insensitivity of the ESA to any factor
which may alter the quality of its direct control. The ESA shall be exposed to the
electromagnetic fields, described in C.7, and shall be monitored during the tests.
C.7.2 Expression of results
The field strengths shall be expressed in either in mA (BCI) or in Volts/m for all the
other tests described in C.7.
C.7.3 Test conditions
The test equipment shall be capable of generating the current or the field strengths
in the range of frequencies defined in this Annex, and shall meet the (national) legal
requirements regarding electromagnetic signal. The control and monitoring
equipment shall not be susceptible to radiation fields whereby the tests could be
invalidated.
