Brake performance — endurance test
B1 Brake performance — endurance test
B1.1 Requirement:
When tested by the method described in B.1.2, before the wear limit and no failure of any brake parts, the
brakes shall achieve at least 60 % of the braking performance which was recorded at the highest operating force used
during the performance tests TBIS 4210-4:2017, 4.6.5.7 c) items 1) and 2).
If the sample could not finish total 3,000 cycles brake, there should be a warning before the end of the wear limit (pad,
rim and rotor).
B1.2 Test methods:
This test is made with a test speed of 12.5 km/h +/- 5%.
There by the 3,000 cycles (brake 3 sec. and release 3 sec. for 1 cycle) brake delay may not remain under a
2
value of 2.2 m/s +/- 10% whereby for the mass to be slowed down 100 kg.
An adjustment of the brakes is allowed.
A wind speed of a maximum of 12.5 km/h is allowed.
