Steering geometry




The steering geometry employed, as shown in Figure A.1, will generally be dictated by the use for which
the bicycle is intended but it is nevertheless recommended that

a) the steering head angle be not more than 75° and not less than 65° in relation to the ground line, and

b) the steering axis intersects a line perpendicular to the ground line, drawn through the wheel centre,
at a point not lower than 15 % and not higher than 60 % of the wheel radius when measured from
the ground line.
